The company was established in 1997 and has since emerged as a leader in cultivating and promoting great dance talent. West Valley Dance Company classes are designed to improve the dancer’s technique, performance skills, and productivity.
Our instructors are experienced competition level choreographers and have multiple choreographic awards to prove their worth. With 13 amazing faculty members, our program gives our students the opportunity to learn proper dance technique as well as how to express themselves as dancers.
Our Programs
The West Valley Dance Company consists of three different programs:
- Ballet – Our Ballet program consists of classes ranging from beginner to advanced. We offer both private and group tuition, as well as examinations and extra-curricular activities.
- Jazz – Jazz classes emphasise the use of classical and modern dance styles. Classes range from basic rhythm and coordination to more complex combinations.
- Hip-Hop – Just like jazz, our hip-hop classes range from basic to complex steps and combinations. The program covers a wide range of hip-hop styles, such as popping and locking.
All our programs offer opportunities for clubbing and work experience. We also offer additional seminars and dance competitions. We believe that there is no limit to what our students can achieve.
Performance Opportunities
The West Valley Dance Company provides their students with lots of performance opportunities. We hold regular dance showcases for our students to perform in, as well as competitions and festivals. We also host a variety of collaborations with a variety of dance genres such as tap, modern, and hip-hop.
Additionally, we give our students the chance to perform in annuall large-scale productions, such as our summer show. This show includes all the genres of dance represented in our classes – ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and more.
